This year, we booked our second holiday with TNS travel. Once again, Rajneesh and his team came up trumps! The first hurdle of knowing someone would be at the airport was not a concern after last year. However, not only was Raman there to meet us and organise the transfer to the hotel; Rajneesh came on his day off. This made us feel we were with friends once again. The whole 4 week trip went smoothly, with no hitches. We travelled widely in India, with some long days on the road (and rail); this was our choice. However, the vehicles used were all very comfortable and the drivers first class. Our guides were great; it was really good to meet up with one of the guides we had last year who remembered us and was as pleased to see us as we were to see him.We started our trip from Delhi to Shimla then on to Manali. Himachal Pradesh is so beautiful and we look forward to going back; hopefully the weather will allow us to go to the Rohtang Pass next time. From there we travelled to Rajasthan – so different but fascinating. Visited Ajmer, Pushkar, Jodhpur and Udaipur - Pushkar is truly amazing. In spite of it being monsoon season, we had very little rain and, of course, the weather was beautifully warm. We even made it into the local paper in Pali when we were asked by the minister to plant a tree!
Our trip then took us by air to Kerala. A night on a houseboat has to be part of any trip to Kerala; although the monsoon rain lashed down all day, the tranquillity was unmatched. Once again, Rajneesh came up trumps – our houseboat was really lovely. After spending a day in Kochi, we set off for the R&R week at the Leela in Kovalam. This was just perfect. We ate out on Lighthouse beach each evening – once again being welcomed back as old friends by the staff at the Kingfisher restaurant, who also remembered us from last year. We were sad to leave but set off for the final part of our holiday – 3 days in Mumbai. The hotel TNS booked was central so we were able to walk to restaurants and the main shopping street in the evening. Mumbai was not what we expected – far less hectic than Delhi and the perfect end to our trip.
Rajneesh, we cannot thank you enough. I told you last year it had always been my dream to travel to India and you have made it come true. We are really in love with your amazing country and we will certainly be back!

Our hotels were a mixed bunch – Claridges in Delhi – excellent; La Casada in Amritsar - very basic, no top sheet on bed - would have prepare to pay bit more for better hotel; Ramada Jaipur - very good; Howard Park Plaza Agra - comfotable but a bit grubby; Radisson Khajuraho – comfortable, good; Radisson Varanasi - very good.
Car & Driver services
We felt safe with all our drivers, even on the sometimes crazy Indian roads! Jaswant - First Class ! Thank you, he is so courteous & an excellent driver.
Drive in Amritsar was good.
Driver in Khajuraho - good
Driver in Varanasi - good. All cars clean & comfortable, with plenty of space and good a/c.
Guides
Vivek, Delhi guide - very good, spoke English well and explained the sights of Delhi very well - took every effort to make sure we had a good time.
Govind, Amritsar Guide - good
Dev, Jaipur - excellent guide - really understood our needs & explained things well. We didn't feel rushed. The best!!
Rahul, Agra - good at Taj Mahal.
Arvind, Khajurhao guide – very good
Ajay, Varanasi guide – very good
Overall Company Services
Rajneesh has a good understanding of the needs of visitors to India. We were able to tailor our package to include all we wanted to see and always received very quick responses to any email. Thank you for taking us to dinner on our last evening Raman was very helpful at Delhi transfers, thank you Raman. Very pleased with all aspect of booking and the whole tour – it was all we hoped for! Thank you for making our holiday so memorable!

Good Hotels Overall. Shivniwas is not worth with the Standard Room ( Palace room). Samode was fantastic, it would be nice to propse upgragdes to our clients as a choice with your quote.
Overall, Indian hotels are not sound proof & therefore quite noisy.
Car & Driver :- Car was very good, Our first driver ( Shakil) was excellent & very helpful, tactful & understanding. Second driver was more average with broken English & aggressive driving.
Guide : - Very good everywhere except in Delhi & Jaipur.
Comments & Suggestions :- See Hotel part. Better English knowledge for the drivers would be a plus.

Hotels – A good selection of hotels. Outstanding were the UMAID BHAWAN and the Oberois. The Pushkar Palace was below par, Suite 156 is the lemon tree in Goa with superb with private swimming pool.
Car & Driver – Mr. M Singh the driver was excellent at all the times. The Toyota Innova Car is very good.
Guide Services – The guides were genrally good. Mr. Prasad in Varanasi was excellent.
Overall Company Services – The tour was well organized with trasnsport and hotels well through out.
Comment & Suggestion – The hotels in Deogarh & Neemrana were a particular efficient and wanted have been nice to spend more time. For a luxury tour business class internal flights should be considered.
