Thekkady is a place located in the Idduki district and a location of the Periyar national Park. Close to the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border, this place is located at a distance of 257 kilometers from Trivandrum. It is the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary that attracts tourists to its dense evergreen and savanna grasslands. This green and serene environment is a feast to the eyes. One can get to see herds of elephants, sambar deer, tigers, lion-tailed Macaques and Nilgiri Langurs.Thekkady is supposed to be one of the most pleasant and heavenly places for the natural spices such as black pepper, cardamom, cinnamon and clove.

Other items may include T-shirts with tiger and elephant prints on them exclusively for kids to remind them of their trip to God’s own country and freshly fried banana chips cooked in coconut oil.Where to stay:
