Sariska is a place in the state of Rajasthan that had once been an ancient Rajput state. Formerly known as Mewat, the people of Sariska did not like any invasions of the territory by external bodies. This conservatism has made the place a very rich heritage of typical Rajasthani culture. One can see the beauty of ancient forts and palaces of Rajasthan here. How to reach Sariska:

Sariska is easily accessible by road, railways, or flight.

By Air: The nearest airport is at Jaipur, 107 km away but Delhi airport is not far too at a distance of 163 km away.

By Rail: Alwar is the nearest railway station, 37 km from Sariska. Most of the trains that go from Delhi to Varanasi, such as Shatabdi Express and Marudhar Express pass through Alwar.

By Road: State government as well as private buses to Sariska are available from Delhi, Jaipur, and Alwar. It takes about 3 to 4 hours from Jaipur to reach Sariska.
