The Kankwari Fort was the place where Emperor Aurangzeb imprisoned his brother Dara Shikoh. The oldest of the Neelkanth Temples dates back to the 6th century and the erstwhile royal palace and forest lodge of the Maharaja of Alwar has now been converted into a hotel.
