Taj Mahal
Grandiose Taj Mahal emerged out of endless love and loyalty of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan towards his beloved queen Mumtaz Mahal. Known as the greatest architect of his times, Shah Jahan had a strong liking for the refined and delicate white marble stone, as evident in other structures built by him. When it came to create the best mausoleum as a tribute to his beloved, white marble came as a natural choice for him. The Emperor hired only the finest architects and craftsmen in the world to create the perfect burial site of epic proportions. It is at the subterranean chamber underneath the main dome where the great King now lies together with his cherished wife forever.
